A hotel sells a stay. Behind that simple transaction is a moving system of rooms, rates, availability, payments, conversations, and people. When each part lives in a different tool, the team becomes the integration layer.

Guestivity is our flagship hospitality venture: a custom hotel booking and property-operations platform designed around that connected journey. The aim is to give a hotel a coherent operating experience, from the moment a guest searches for a room to the work that follows a confirmed reservation.

The opportunity: connect the booking to the business

A booking engine is only one part of a hotel's digital operation. A reservation changes inventory, creates a financial obligation, informs staff, and starts a relationship with a guest. Treating those as separate experiences makes even a straightforward change harder to manage.

We designed Guestivity around the reservation as a shared operational reference. The commercial opportunity is a more direct relationship between the hotel and its customers, supported by tools that make the day-to-day work easier to follow. The platform brings guest-facing experiences and internal workflows into the same product strategy.

One operational picture

The calendar and reservation timeline give the team a visual way to work with bookings and room availability. The interface favours readable status, dates, and context over decorative dashboard widgets. Staff need to understand what is happening, locate a reservation, and move to the next action without reconstructing the story.

That design principle extends to the system underneath. Hotel catalogue data and transactional booking data have different jobs. Guestivity separates those responsibilities, with purpose-built reservation and inventory workflows rather than treating every room-night as a generic content record.

Direct booking that belongs to the hotel

Guest-facing booking should feel like a natural extension of the property. Guestivity includes embeddable booking widget designs that support different website contexts, from an opening search to room selection and an inline results experience.

The product work considers more than the happy path: dates, room choices, availability holds, pricing, checkout, and the return from a payment flow. A useful booking experience makes these steps understandable while giving the operational system a consistent reservation to work with.

For a hotel group or hospitality founder, the broader lesson is that a booking channel and an operations platform should be designed together. Optimising only the front end leaves the team to resolve the complexity later.

Payments and communication in context

A reservation is also a financial record and an ongoing conversation. Guestivity includes invoice and payment workflows, alongside communication templates and automation surfaces. The goal is to keep the relevant information close to the work rather than requiring staff to assemble it from separate applications.

The engineering includes payment events, refunds, invoice records, and idempotent processing patterns. Those foundations matter when external services retry an event or a customer returns to a transaction. A polished payment screen is only valuable when the state behind it stays coherent.

Communication tooling follows the same principle. Templates and workflow configuration provide a way to connect recurring messages to operational moments, while retaining a clear place for human judgement.

A platform that can support the next commercial move

Hospitality businesses rarely stop at one booking channel. Guestivity's product scope includes agent-facing discovery, rate sheets, and updates through Agent Stream, alongside revenue-oriented operational views. These are adjacent experiences with their own users and incentives, connected by the underlying hotel model.

This is where custom software becomes a strategic choice. A business can develop its own distribution relationships, workflows, and differentiated service model instead of adapting every idea to the limits of a general-purpose tool. Each additional surface still needs careful scoping and validation; a connected architecture creates options rather than guaranteeing outcomes.

The engineering behind the experience

Guestivity combines ASP.NET Core, Orchard Core, Blazor, PostgreSQL, and Stripe Connect, with shared UI foundations for web and .NET MAUI hybrid applications. Orchard provides low-churn identity, content, and catalogue capabilities; dedicated application workflows handle transactional booking operations.

The separation is deliberate. Permissions must reflect organisations and properties. Availability and payments need explicit state transitions. Integrations need to tolerate retries. Public marketing pages need indexable, meaningful content. We approach those as parts of the product, not isolated technical tasks.

The result is a useful demonstration of what we can design and engineer for a hospitality business: a customer journey, an operating model, and the systems that connect them.

What this could mean for your business

If your team is bridging gaps between booking tools, spreadsheets, and communication channels, the first question is not which framework to use. It is which workflow most needs to change, and what a better version would allow the business to do.

We can help define a focused first release, design the critical journeys, and build the foundations for a larger hospitality platform. Explore our delivery process, or tell us about your hotel software project.

Questions about a similar platform

Can you build a custom hotel booking platform around an existing operation?

Yes. Discovery starts with your rooms, rates, distribution channels, payments, and operating practices. Integration and migration requirements shape the scope rather than being assumed away.

Is this an off-the-shelf deployment offer?

This case study showcases Guestivity as a studio venture. A client implementation, licence, or custom platform would have its own agreed scope, commercial terms, and operational requirements.

Can the guest experience and staff tools share one product strategy?

Yes. Guestivity demonstrates how those journeys can be designed together, while keeping the responsibilities of catalogue, inventory, reservations, and payments clear.
