A cleaning booking is attached to a place, a set of expectations, and often a recurring relationship. The business challenge is to carry that context through discovery, scheduling, and repeat service without rebuilding it every time.

RentACleaner is our cleaning-services marketplace venture. It brings customer-facing discovery and booking together with cleaner-facing business tools, illustrating how custom software can support both sides of a local service business.

The opportunity: connect the customer and the working day

The customer wants to find a suitable service and understand the next step. The cleaner needs to present an offering, manage availability, and keep track of work. A directory can introduce the two parties, but it does not solve the coordination that follows.

The product separates those roles while connecting their journeys. Discovery and profiles make the offer visible; the booking flow creates a structured next step. This gives the platform a foundation for repeat interactions rather than treating every enquiry as a new lead to handle manually.

A useful operating surface for providers

The agenda and business-tools screens organise the provider's side of the marketplace. Scheduling, offerings, and package concepts sit close to the work, with mobile interfaces that favour clear actions over dashboard decoration.

For an operator, these choices affect the service model. Who controls availability? How do travel, property size, or service type affect the offer? Which changes need approval? The software should reflect explicit answers to those questions, not force the team to handle the exceptions in a separate spreadsheet.

Keep property context with the booking

Property and package-booking interfaces show how the product can retain useful customer context. A repeat service becomes easier to reason about when the property, selected offering, and booking history have a defined place.

The screenshots demonstrate the intended interaction and implementation surfaces. They do not establish a measured reduction in administration or an increase in repeat bookings. Those are hypotheses a service operator could evaluate after launch with agreed metrics.

Built as a connected service platform

The implementation combines Orchard Core's identity and content capabilities with dedicated marketplace workflows using ASP.NET Core, Blazor, PostgreSQL, and Stripe Connect. Shared UI foundations support web and MAUI hybrid applications.

The engineering work sits behind the visible simplicity: participant permissions, availability, booking transitions, payment events, and repeatable operations. Keeping those responsibilities clear makes the product easier to extend when the service model changes.

What this demonstrates

RentACleaner demonstrates a product approach for businesses selling location-based services over time. The same questions appear in property maintenance, home services, and field-service marketplaces: how to make the service easy to buy and practical to deliver.

We can help identify the highest-value workflow, design a focused first release, and connect it to the systems your business already uses. Talk to us about a home-services platform, or explore our delivery process.

Questions about a similar platform

Could this support an established cleaning company rather than a marketplace?

Yes. The ownership model, team scheduling, customer accounts, and payments would be scoped for the company rather than copied from a marketplace.

Can the platform support repeat service relationships?

The venture demonstrates package and repeat-booking concepts. The precise rules for recurring appointments, balances, cancellations, and pricing depend on the service model.
